Information security involves the protection of information that you are custodians of (customer data) and information you rely on, (metrics and methods) in any format, hardcopy, digital, and intellectual.
Cyber Security focuses on ensuring that your digital systems (computer networking systems) make your information always available, but only to those you wish it to be available to, and is reliable (up-to-date and accurate).
Increasing Cyber Security will increase only one facet of Information Security.

Information Security Risk Mitigation Strategies
There are 4 valid responses to information security threats;
avoidance, no longer exposing yourself to the risk, eg, stop storing credit card information
reduction, increasing your defences, eg improving Cyber Security
transference, allowing someone to take care of it, eg using hosted software
acceptance, taking the chance it won't happen and being ready if it does, eg a great backup strategy or insurance
A Risk Analysis will look at your threat vectors (the things that threaten you specifically) and work out the costs and impacts of implementing each strategy. The results can guide you to a more strategic and commercially sensible response to threats.

Processes, the written instructions and configuration directives you have ratified and their continuous improvement
Technology, the hardware, its configurations, and operation applied appropriately.
